Nigeria Losses 5trn Naira To Oil Theft

Nigeria losses about five trillion naira yearly from oil theft and one point three trillion naira loss of crude oil stolen in the Niger Delta in two thousand and nine. 

Member of the House of Representatives, Chukwuma Umeoji made this known on Thursday while moving his motion on the need to setup an Ad-hoc Committee to determine the volume of oil extracted in the country on daily basis. 

The motion was unanimously adopted and referred to the relevant committees for further Legislative input
