Breaking News: Lagos Senator , Sikiru Bayo Oshinowo Dies

The Senator representing Lagos East Senatorial District and a leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Senator Sikiru Oshinowo is dead.
The politician, who was formerly a member of the Lagos State House of Assembly for four consecutive terms from 2003 to 2019, before heading to the senate, died of the dreaded COVID-19.
According to reports, the senator tested positive to COVID-19 last week,was said to have been rushed to the Infectious Diseases Centre Yaba three days ago.

President of the Senate, Ahmad Lawan, has received with shock and sadness the news on Monday of the death of Senator Adebayo Osinowo.
Senator Lawan condoles with Senator Osinowo's family, friends, political associates and also the government and people of Lagos State over the loss.
Lawan said Osinowo served his country creditably as a Distinguished Senator at the Ninth Senate which marked its first anniversary only last week.
The Senate President said the pains of Senator Osinowo's untimely departure will be felt by his Distinguished colleagues and the National Assembly in general.
Lawan prayed for the repose of his gentle soul and for God to grant those he left behind the fortitude to bear the loss.
Senator Osinowo, until his death represented Lagos East Senatorial and was the Chairman, Senate Committee on industries. He served four terms at the Lagos State House Assembly before his election to the Senate.
