Infrastructures: FEC approves contracts worth N311.473bn

For the third week running, the Federal Executive Council has awarded contracts running into billions of Nairs

The cabinet which was presided over by Vice President Yemi Osinbajo on Wednesday awarded contracts worth three hundred and eleven point four seven billion Naira

said that the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting presided over by Vice President Yemi Osinbajo approved

According to Minister of Works and Housing, Babatunde Fashola the council approved construction of the Ibadan -Ile-Ife Dual Carriage Way connecting to Oyo and Osun States at the cost of 79.829 billion Naira

Also approved was the N200.176 billion link-road connecting the second Niger Bridge to Asaba and Onitsha.

The 78 kilometre second phase of the Kano-Katsina High Way will cost N29.654 billion.

Meanwhile as part of TETFUND interventions to the University of Abuja the cabinet approved award of contract for the construction of the faculty of environment at the sum of N950 million

Minister of state, education Emeka Nwajiuba who announced the approval said the cabinet also okayed the contract for thr construction of the faculty of education for the sum of N908 million said one memorandum approved
