PTF BRIEFS PRESIDENT ON ADOPTION OF NEW MEASURES, NATIONWIDE BROADCAST LIKELY TO HOLD ON MONDAY

The Presidential Task Force on COVID-19 says communities must now cue intothe  national response to Coronavirus, which, it says hasbeen adopted successfully by the states.

The Task Forcemet on Sunday with President Muhammadu Buhari to make recommendations to help government prepare for the next phase in response to the pandemic and perhaps introduce new processes to be put in place.

Chairman of the Task Force Boss Mustapha noted that Nigerians were in for the long haul and must develop coping mechanisms at the community level to deal with the pandemic.

Meanwhile, the President Muhammadu Buhari may likely broadcast to the nation on Monday, May 18th.

According to reports, this is to decide on whether or not the country should go ahead with the second phase of the easing of the lockdown.
